Stop MSN Messenger from opening automatically

To prevent MSN Messenger from opening automatically when you turn your computer on:

  1. Open Messenger, click Tools and then Options.
  2. Select the General tab.
  3. Remove the tick from the box that reads Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows by clicking the box once.
  4. Click OK.
