Membership: Forgotten or changing your password.

ninemsn uses Microsoft Passport as its basis for membership authentication. If you have a Hotmail address then you already have a Passport.

If you have forgotten your password, or would like to change your password, you will need to do this in accordance with Hotmail and Passport procedures.

How to reset your password if you have forgotten it

For a step-by-step guide to resetting the password on your Hotmail account, please click here.

For non-Hotmail accounts

  1. Go to the .NET Passport home page: www.passport.com
  2. On the right-hand side of the page, click the Reset your password link.
  3. Enter your e-mail address and change the country setting to Australia - after doing this, the page should refresh and the State and ZIP Code fields should disappear.
  4. You may see a page displaying a Secret Question - if you answer this correctly, you should then be prompted to change your password. If you do not see the Secret Question, you will be prompted to request an e-mail from .NET Passport Services with further instructions.
