Receiving error messages for e-mails you never sent

There are currently many viruses going around that forge the "From" address of the message. What this means is that when someone's computer is infected with the virus, the virus sends itself out to other e-mail addresses pretending to be from a completely different e-mail address. For instance, if someone you know has the virus on their computer, the virus may randomly choose your e-mail address to be the "From" address as it sends itself out. The end result is that you receive bounce-back messages for viruses that you did not send.

Please refer to the following page for more information on the WORM_NETSKY.D virus (one such case of this type of virus).
