If you are experiencing difficulty in accessing your Hotmail inbox, you may need to adjust your Security and Privacy settings. Please follow the steps below to do this.

Please Note: If you cannot see the Privacy tab (in step 2 below) then you may need to upgrade your web browser to the latest version of Internet Explorer. Please click here to download Internet Explorer 6.

1. Within Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Ensure that the Privacy level is set to Medium. Use the grey slider bar on the left-hand side of the window to set the level to Medium if necessary.
4. Click the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the window.
5. Click the Security tab.
6. Select the icon of the world, called Internet.
7. Click the Custom Level button.
8. Scroll down through the list until you see the heading Miscellaneous. The second item under this heading should be Allow META REFRESH - ensure that this option is set to Enable.
Click the OK button to return to the Internet Options window.
11. Once again in the Internet Options window, click the Advanced tab at the top of the window.
12. Click the Restore Defaults button at the bottom of the window.
13. Click the Apply button in the lower-right corner, then click the OK button.
