At the current time some Hotmail customers may experience a problem accessing their account where a blank page is displayed instead of the inbox. This appears to be a display problem specific to Internet Explorer rather than a problem with Hotmail accounts themselves. If you are experiencing this problem, please complete the steps below to try to resolve the issue:

Step 1.
You may have old data in your browser that needs to be deleted
Temporary Internet files stored on your computer may be conflicting with files stored on the Internet. You may need to delete your temporary Internet files and cookies to resolve the issue. Click here for a step-by step guide on how to do this.

Step 2.
Adjust your Security and Privacy settings
Your Security and Privacy settings may be set a little too high. Please click here for a step-by step guide on how to do this.

Step 3.
Download updates for Windows
You may also need to download Windows Script updates for Windows. Please click the appropriate link below to download the correct script for your version of Windows:

Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT

Step 4.
If the steps listed above do not work, please try to access your account with a different web browser. As mentioned above, this issue appears to be an Internet Explorer display issue, so your account should be accessible from a different web browser.

Two examples of alternate web browsers are Mozilla Firefox and Netscape. Both browsers are free to download and use, and they operate in a similar way to Internet Explorer.
